Abstract The normal vaginal flora is complex and includes various organisms, many of them conditioned pathogens. microbiome controlled by estrogens that why a major difference it encountered between pre-menopausal menopausal women. Bacterial vaginosis was associated with inflammatory changes on Papanicolaou (PAP) smears chronic inflammation may eventually tead to potentially precancerous cancerous processes the cervix. We asses importance PAP test early discovery infections because bacterial has been smears. Materials metods: Were analysed 50 patients bacteriologic exam smear, from ambulatory (Polyclinic Constanța). Results discussions: These aged 21 64 year examined for symptoms. classified in 35% post-menopausal 65%.The result showed (absence infection) 44% cases abnormal 56% cases. predominant pathology non-specific (Gram positive coci negative bacilli, absence lactobacilli) 38% Candida infection present 12% Trichomonas vaginalis Actynomices 3% each. Conclusions majority (Candida, Trichomonas,Actinomyces) had Pap tests intraepithelial lesion or malignancies NILM cellular inflammation. There be infectious causes other than HPV.
